Instructor faq
How much commission does the platform take?
5% Commission
Unlike other platforms, we don’t take a large cut from your course sales. Our goal is to offer a valuable learning hub while still covering essential admin and website maintenance.
You’re free to create your courses, set your own price, and keep 95% of the revenue (excluding standard payment processing fees, such as PayPal).
Note: VAT may affect pricing depending on your country or region.
How will I get paid?
Instructors get paid through a revenue-sharing system (instructor takes 97%). The Platform also integrates with payment gateways like PayPal to facilitate payments.
Withdrawals: Once an instructor’s balance reaches a minimum withdrawal amount (set by the admin), they can request a withdrawal.
Who owns the copyright to the course I upload?
You do. As the instructor and content creator, you retain full ownership and copyright over your course materials.
We act as a licensed distributor only.
Our [Terms of Use] clearly acknowledge you as the copyright holder. Additionally, you’re encouraged to add this statement at the end of your course description:
© 2025 [Instructor Name]. All rights reserved.
This course and its contents—including videos, materials, quizzes, and supplementary resources—are the intellectual property of the content creator and are protected under international copyright laws.
You may also include a short version of the copyright statement as a header or footer on your course handouts or downloadable materials, e.g.,
© 2025 [Instructor Name]. Licensed for distribution by Learnhao. All rights reserved.
Can I set my own course price?
Yes. You’re free to set any price you believe reflects the value of your course.
As a general guide: short introductory courses (1–2 hours) are often priced up to $30, while more detailed and comprehensive courses (5+ hours, with extra materials, resources, or practical exercises) typically range from $50–$150. Check similar courses for reference, and adjust pricing as your content grows.
Some helpful steps include offering free previews of selected lessons, starting with a competitive price to attract early students, and using coupons or discounts to promote your course.
Does the platform market my course?
Yes. We promote courses through:
SEO-optimized listings
Social media campaigns
Email marketing and retargeting
That said, we strongly encourage instructors to promote their own courses too!
Promotion Tips:
Share your course link on social media, blogs, or newsletters.
Build early social proof by inviting a few trusted learners to enroll and leave reviews.
Offer time-limited discounts via coupon codes.
Use preview sections as “free samples” to attract interest.
Can I offer discounts or preview content?
Yes! Our system (powered by Tutor LMS) allows you to:
Create discount coupons
Offer free preview sections
These are great for boosting enrollments and getting reviews.
How do I attract more students?
Here are some key strategies:
Use a clear, benefit-focused course title and description.
Include a professional thumbnail and intro video.
Add a few preview lessons for free.
Promote your course consistently via email, social media, and forums.
Encourage early students to leave honest reviews.
Is there a minimum or maximum course length?
There’s no strict requirement. However, we recommend:
At least 30-60 minutes of content
Clear structure with modules/sections
Supplementary resources like PDFs, quizzes, or downloads
Can I update or edit my course later?
Absolutely. You can:
Add new videos or lessons
Update text or resources
Improve sections based on student feedback
Regular updates help keep your course relevant and boost its visibility.
Do I need to be exclusive to your platform?
No, exclusivity is not required. You are free to offer your course on other platforms or your own website.
However, we recommend adjusting the value or structure slightly across platforms to avoid price conflicts or student confusion. For example:
Offer bonus resources (like checklists, templates, or live Q&A sessions)
Bundle additional lessons or exclusive content
Provide platform-specific perks (like extended previews or private community access)
This allows you to maintain pricing flexibility while justifying any differences in course cost between platforms.
Do I have to pay VAT or sales tax as a course creator on this platform?
By default, we apply VAT or sales tax to all course sales made to customers in the UK and EU to ensure compliance with local tax regulations for digital services.
However, if you are a course creator (instructor) and you meet either of the following conditions, you may apply to reverse the tax deduction:
You are VAT-registered in your own country (UK or EU) and can provide a valid VAT number.
You are under the VAT registration threshold in your country and can self-declare that status.
Outside the EU: Tax obligations may vary depending on your country, income level, and registration status. As a facilitating platform, we do not strictly collect taxes on your behalf in these regions, and recommend seeking local tax advice where needed.
Note: Please make sure the information you provide is accurate and current. Incorrectly claiming an exemption could result in tax penalties or even account suspension
